We will help our children to become confident, independent and able to socialise whilst developing their full potential. We want them to be ready to embark on a new crucial adventure: primary education

 We believe in:

1.    The active encouragement of creativity, learning and play through lots of stimulating activities

2.    The vital need to learn about wellbeing from a very young age

3.    The benefits of early immersion in a second language

By using the Montessori approach, our carers and teachers give children the chance to learn at their own pace, like walking or potty training. This child-centred teaching method focuses on hands-on, self-directed, collaborative play to help children develop and grow. They will work in groups and individually to discover their maximum potential.

We want them to enjoy discovering, enquiring and experiencing. By giving them guided autonomy they will learn more quickly and at their own pace. Not every flower blooms at the same time. Like them, children will learn differently from one another. Our carers and teachers are trained to recognise your child’s profile and adapt to it. Some have a visual memory, other a verbal one. Individuality is key to good learning.

The early years are often described as a “window of opportunity” for language learning.

Acquiring familiarity with one or several modern languages makes children more likely to succeed in learning new languages later in life, even if the original languages are forgotten.

Indeed, in addition to facilitating cross-cultural communication, this trend also positively affects cognitive abilities. Researchers have shown that the bilingual brain can have better attention and task-switching capacities than the monolingual brain, thanks to its developed ability to inhibit one language while using another.

We are introducing this dual immersion method with French because children will nearly always have the option to continuing it in their future education as French remains the most commonly taught modern language in England.

We use the one-person one-language system and our native French-speakers will give consistent care and support exclusively in French. Like the Utah dual language immersion, or even New York model, French will be the second language of teaching and we will make sure that each and every child speaks appropriate English.

We will follow the EYFS while adhering to the British values.
